Alan Wayne Boggs

Alan Wayne Boggs, 68, of Booneville, passed away in his home July 27, 2017. He was born January 29, 1949 in Washington, D.C., the son of Gaylen W. and Dorothy R. (Edwards) Boggs. After serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, Wayne operated a dump truck and snow plow for the Arkansas Highway Department and worked eighteen years as a tool and die maker at Today’s Kids. He loved restoring old vehicles and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylen and Dorothy Boggs; one son, Vince Nunez; and one brother, Timothy Patrick Boggs.
Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Sandy (Autrey) Boggs and Ozzie Osborne of the home; five sons, Anthony and Timothy Boggs of Roland, David Boggs of Phoenix, Arizona, John Boggs of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Matthew Boggs of Los Angles, California; three daughters, Rhonda Harvell of Muldrow, Kelly Davis and Shelby Godfrey both of Booneville; nine sisters, Lynne Coleman of Marion, Judy Hart and Julie Humphrey of Greenwood, Laura Wald of Van Buren, Michelle Moore of Lavaca, Kimberly Boggs and Valarie Miller of Fort Smith, Jayme Hartman and Brenda Renfroe of Tucson, Arizona; four brothers, Bruce and John Boggs of Booneville, Jim Edwards of Gans, Oklahoma, David Edwards of Hot Springs; thirteen grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be John Waylon Boggs, Bruce Boggs, Anthony Boggs, David Boggs, John Anthony Boggs, Matthew Boggs and David Edwards.
Graveside service with military honors to be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service.
